Maintaining Your Skagen Watch
Ensure the crown is returned towards the normal operating position prior to watch comes in connection with water.

Cleaning Your Skagen Watch
Skagen suggests the following solutions to clean metal and crystal surfaces:
3:1 solution of ammonia based window cleaner to water
4:1 solution of rubbing alcohol to water.
Do not use soap products.
These suggested solutions will evaporate cleanly from metal and glass surfaces. Soap will leave residue behind when dry.
To clean the situation and crystal:
Moisten a soft cloth with one of the above solutions. Gently wipe the truth and crystal clean. Be mindful not to set excessive stress about the crystal while you clean. *NEVER immerse or soak the case/crystal portion from the watch, regardless of water resistance rating. Moisture could seep past the seals over time.
To clean the band or strap:
Skagen soft mesh bands are easily adjustable. Simply insert a tiny screwdriver or similar tool in the clasp. Lift up the clasp without applying pressure towards the thin pin through the clasp and proceed to desired position. Snap closed securely. Ensure the clasp is set in one from the indentations for the back with the band. Link bands are completely adjustable anywhere watches are serviced.
Skagen suggests the following practices for cleaning metal, rubber and leather surfaces:
Metal watchbands
Dip a cotton swab within the above solution, and gently rub it in to the soiled portion from the band. For additional intricate mesh bands, you may wish to make use of a soft bristle toothbrush or nailbrush. Be sure to pay the situation of the watch with this process so they won't soak it. For stubborn soil, you could want to bring it to a jeweler to get a professional cleaning.
Rubber watchstraps
Simply wipe them down which has a damp, soft cloth. Avoid soaps and solvents since they may dry or crack the plastic.
